Save The Date For
CounterBalance 2021

In 2020, ReinventAbility Co-Produced the 10th production celebration of CounterBalance! We featured passionate performers and award-winning choreographers who embodied and discussed the power of dance to enliven the disability experience. Included in that online experience: inclusive workshops, panel discussion, highlights from past performances, dance films, and a celebration in honor of our visionary founder. Our 2021 production will present original and innovative dances for all to enjoy!

ReinventAbility again sponsored

the inclusion of a dancer with a disability in

The Nutcracker

Variable and at times 'invisible' disabilities can be difficult for others to comprehend. ReinventAbility teaches by example through this inclusion that, when given a chance, we can not only be included but thrive and contribute. And DANCE!

ReinventAbility was excited to sponsor the inclusion

of a wheelchair dancer in the contemporary ballet

Amira: A Chicago Cinderella Story

This inclusion was historic in that it marked the first time that a wheelchair dancer was presented onstage at the Logan Center! Local school children were thrilled to be introduced  to wheelchair dance, inclusion and adaptation possibilities as part of this collaboration.
